काम्यवन, जिसे कामवन अथवा कामाँ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, ब्रजमण्डल के द्वादश (बारह) पवित्र वनों में से एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण एवं दिव्य वन है। यह राजस्थान के डीग जनपद में स्थित है और भगवान श्रीराधा-कृष्ण की अनेक मधुर एवं दिव्य लीलाओं का पावन साक्षी माना जाता है। अपनी आध्यात्मिक महिमा, प्राचीन तीर्थों और पौराणिक महत्व के कारण काम्यवन ब्रज चौरासी कोस यात्रा का एक प्रमुख पड़ाव है।
ब्रज के बारह वनों में काम्यवन का विशेष स्थान है। पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने यहाँ श्रीराधा एवं सखियों के साथ अनेक दिव्य लीलाएँ सम्पन्न कीं।
'काम्यवन' शब्द संस्कृत के 'काम्य' से बना है, जिसका अर्थ है—मनोकामना पूर्ण करने वाला। ऐसी मान्यता है कि श्रद्धापूर्वक इस पावन धाम के दर्शन एवं परिक्रमा करने से भक्तों की मनोकामनाएँ पूर्ण होती हैं।
काम्यवन को आदि-वृन्दावन भी कहा जाता है, क्योंकि ब्रज की आध्यात्मिक परम्परा में इसे अत्यंत प्राचीन एवं महत्वपूर्ण लीलास्थली माना गया है।
यह मंदिर वृन्दा देवी को समर्पित है, जिन्हें श्रीराधा रानी का दिव्य स्वरूप माना जाता है। मान्यता है कि इस दिव्य विग्रह की स्थापना भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के प्रपौत्र वज्रनाभ ने की थी तथा बाद में श्रीरूप गोस्वामी जी ने इसका पुनः प्राकट्य कराया। यह विश्व में वृन्दा देवी का अत्यंत प्राचीन एवं प्रमुख मंदिर माना जाता है।
यह मंदिर ब्रज चौरासी कोस यात्रा के चार प्रमुख शिवालयों में से एक है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि भगवान शिव यहाँ कामेश्वर महादेव के रूप में निवास करते हैं तथा ब्रजधाम की दिव्य लीलाओं के साक्षी हैं। श्रद्धालु यहाँ भगवान शिव का दर्शन कर आध्यात्मिक शांति एवं आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करते हैं।
यह प्राचीन एवं ऐतिहासिक स्मारक अपनी अद्भुत स्थापत्य कला और 84 अलंकृत स्तम्भों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। लोकमान्यता है कि आज तक कोई भी व्यक्ति इन स्तम्भों की सही संख्या पूर्णतः नहीं गिन पाया, जिससे यह स्थल रहस्य एवं श्रद्धा का केन्द्र बना हुआ है।
काम्यवन में स्थित ये पवित्र सरोवर भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की विभिन्न लीलाओं से जुड़े हुए हैं। श्रद्धालु यहाँ स्नान, पूजा एवं परिक्रमा कर आध्यात्मिक पुण्य की प्राप्ति का भाव रखते हैं। इन पवित्र कुण्डों का उल्लेख ब्रज की प्राचीन धार्मिक परम्पराओं में विशेष श्रद्धा के साथ किया गया है।
काम्यवन ब्रजभूमि का एक ऐसा दिव्य धाम है जहाँ भगवान श्रीराधा-कृष्ण की मधुर लीलाओं की स्मृतियाँ आज भी श्रद्धालुओं के हृदय में जीवित हैं। यहाँ के मंदिर, कुण्ड और प्राचीन तीर्थस्थल भक्तों को भक्ति, प्रेम, शांति एवं आध्यात्मिक आनंद का अनुपम अनुभव कराते हैं।
Kamyavan, also known as Kamvan or Kaman, is one of the twelve sacred forests (vanas) of the Braj region, deeply associated with the pastimes of Lord Krishna and Radha. Located in the Deeg district of Rajasthan, this ancient town is revered for its spiritual significance and historical heritage.
Kamyavan is considered the fourth among the twelve forests of Braj and is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna performed numerous divine pastimes. The name 'Kamyavan' is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Kamya,' meaning 'desire,' signifying that desires are fulfilled here. It is also referred to as Adi-Vrindavan, indicating its prominence in the spiritual landscape of Braj.
1. Shri Radha Govind Dev Ji Temple: This temple houses the deity of Vrinda Devi, an expansion of Srimati Radharani. The deity was originally installed by Vajranabha, the great-grandson of Krishna, and later rediscovered by Rupa Goswami. It is considered the most ancient and prominent deity of Vrinda Devi in the world.
2. Shri Kameshwar Mahadev Temple: One of the four important Shivalayas on the Braj Chaurasi Kos Yatra, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is believed to have resided here in the form of Kameshwar Mahadev
3. Chaurasi Khamba (84 Pillared Temple): An ancient monument with 84 intricately carved pillars. It is said that no one has been able to count the exact number of pillars correctly, adding to its mystical allure.
4. Vimal Kunda, Kama Kunda, and Dharma Kunda: These sacred ponds are among the many kundas in Kamyavan, each associated with various pastimes of Lord Krishna and his devotees .
